Dynasty Warriors 9 Season Pass details!

As it was revealed back when the announcement for the Japanese release date for Dynasty Warriors 9 came, it was known a Season Pass will be up for purchase alongside it. But what does this Season Pass actually offer? Will it be much different to the way older Dynasty Warriors game titles have done their DLC? Let’s delve a little deeper, first with the official details of what comes with the Season Pass:

Season Pass

Additional Scenario Pack
-NPCs Xiahouji, Dong Bai, Hua Xiong, and Yuan Shu become playable.
-Additional scenarios, events, and actions for each officer.

Additional Weapons Pack
-Addition of three new weapon (action) systems.
-Addition of three high level weapon models for each weapon.

Hideaway Customisation Pack
-Addition of exclusive scenarios where you can obtain exteriors and furniture.
-Addition of 10 furniture models.
-Addition of five models that change exteriors and interiors.

Season Pass Bonus
-Four Jewels.
-12 materials that can be used for advanced weapon / cooking / item development.

Each of the packs will be sold separately also, but naturally bought outside of the Season Pass would cost more. We have no time frame on when these “Packs” will release yet, but it’s doubtful that they will take too long judging by the content on offer.

Is it worth picking up? That is still in the air, as we don’t know just how many new scenarios will be available (We are sure Zhong Hui’s Rebellion will be one of them, as DLC-baited in certain endings), or how extensive the new storylines for the four unlocked characters will be. It seems to be a little more content heavy to what we are use to, but this Season Pass isn’t going anywhere. When the DLC (or more details) start to drop you can still get it for that inclusive bundled price.

The Season Pass costs £19.99/€24.99/$24.99, and purchasing will give you the Season Pass Bonus set straight away.

Many KT games are now on Sony’s Playstation Now streaming service!

We never have really discussed the game services on here, such as Playstation Now and XBOX Game Pass, however we felt now might be an ideal time. Specifically Playstation Now (as we know KT support Sony’s consoles the most). To start off with, for those who don’t know, Playstation Now is Sony’s flagship streaming service that allows you (for a nominal monthly fee) to stream numerous PS3 (and now some PS4) games on many Sony owned devices.

Having recently checked out the Playstation Now service again, it was to our surprise and pleasure to see many many games from KOEI Tecmo up for playing at the click of a button. If you have a strong enough internet connection (doesn’t require much) you will have access to 500+ games, many of them being from KT themselves.

So for those who are interested, or just may not of known, here is a list of all the KOEI Tecmo games on the service you can access right now through it! (Note all of these are the PS3 versions of the games)

That is a LOT of KOEI Tecmo games at your fingertips. To add to all of this, you can get a free 7 days trial of the subscription (be sure to turn off auto-renew in your account settings!) if you just fancy checking these out or some you may of missed during the last generation of KT gaming.

If you do feel like taking the plunge for the full subscription fee, then it’ll run you £12.99 a month in UK or $99.99 a year option for America.

Dissidia: Final Fantasy Opera Omnia out now for Mobile! In case you missed it!

It may have gone unnoticed by many, and admittedly we are late to the party as well, but KOEI Tecmo and Square-Enix’s partnership with the Dissidia: Final Fantasy franchise didn’t end with the recently released Dissida: Final Fantasy NT for PS4. We also received on the same day a Mobile release in the same series, called Dissidia: Final Fantasy Opera Omnia. Released for both iOS and Android devices from 30th January 2018.

A free to play RPG with much more traditional routes than it’s fighter brethren on console. Where turn based combat returns, but still with some of the new features adorned in the PS4 game, such as the HP and BP systems.

Play as a miriad of famous characters from numerous Final Fantasy titles, including many not featured in the PS4 brawler. With it’s free to play nature anyone with a phone or pad based device can download and enjoy this game. So why not check it out and decide for yourselves if it is a worthy game of your time?

Which KT Switch games do you want to see localised?

It is pretty widely known that KOEI Tecmo Japan have supported the Nintendo Switch with a ton of game releases within the first year of it’s launch (and still many more to come), but not many of them have made their way outside of that little island of their home territory. So we want to ask for your opinion, which of the currently exclusive to Japan KT Switch titles would you like to see get localised in the West?

Fire Emblem Warriors DLC Pack #2 – Shadow Dragon is out now!

Fire Emblem Warriors second DLC pack launched today (or yesterday for some) exclusively on the Nintendo Switch and New Nintendo 3DS. Costing £8.09/€8.99/$8.99 on it’s own or for free with the Season Pass purchase, you will gain a new bevy of content to continue your slashing adventure!

Included in the pack is as follows:

-Three new playable characters – Navarre, Minerva and Linde – each with their own unique weapons
-Four new costumes
-Three new History Mode maps
-New weapon attributes
-Unique weapons for Caeda, Tiki and Anna

Alongside the release of this new DLC, there has been a free patch update that includes numerous new tweaks and additions to the game. See what it has below!

Version 1.4.0 Update (due out alongside DLC Pack #2)

Maximum Character Level Increase
Increases the maximum character level from 110 to 130.

Weapon Skills
“Critical Specialist” Effect – Makes it easier to deplete the enemy’s Stun Gauge.
“Anti-Air Specialist” Effect – Increases damage dealt to launched enemies.
(These can be obtained via a random drop.)

Blessings – The following blessings have been added to the Temple
“Str Blessing,” “Mag Blessing,” and “Skill Blessing” Effects – Increases the stats of all deployed party members.
“Bond Blessing” Effect – Makes it easier to increase the bond of all deployed party members.
“Swift Attack Blessing” Effect – Increases the damage dealt for a fixed time after the battle begins.

Other
Turn On / Off Crest Creation confirmation and presentation from the settings.
UI improvements, including the map and menu composition of the deployment screen.
Bug fixes.
