It’s a new year (and decade!), so we look back at the past year’s KOEI Tecmo game releases, and pick out our favourites! Vote in our poll below and share what your favourite KOEI Tecmo game of 2019 was! (Keep in mind this is for Western launched games only)
Hey everyone! A quick personal update from us this time. We have officially relaunched our Twitter account, so now we will be covering both Facebook and Twitter for your Social Network needs! We will be using Twitter as a way to interact with you guys, along with share our news, updates and maybe some special exclusive tweets!
Quick note: This doesn’t effect any of our other projects and main KW Forum
We have some unfortunate news, due to the recent subjugation of Invisionfree/Zetaboards by Tapatalk (which you may have noticed our main KW Forum has converted to, for better or worse) this has brought upon some sour news of our original KOEI Warriors: Conquerors forum – Which sadly has past away during this transition. Due to the site http://s7.zetaboards.com/KOEI_Warriors_Online/ being left up purely for archival purposes we were not approved to be migrated.
For those of you who are unaware, KOEI Warriors Conquerors originally was formed as a sister site to KOEI Warriors, in that we would create and host forum based strategy roleplaying games where you would conquer China (Dynasty Warriors Conquer China) or Japan (Sengoku Warriors Conquer Japan), along with some of our own IP such as Battle Realm (a roleplaying focused experience) and others. It was also a great place to just chill out and have a break by the increasingly populated core forum.
Though the original forum closed down in the early parts of this decade, it was reformed into http://s15.zetaboards.com/kwconquerors/ along with the rebirth of KW:C as a whole to go with this site. However this too has met the same fate due to inactivity and lack of upkeep on our part. Honestly we just didn’t have the manpower or time to micromanage a forum with these type of time consuming games anymore which we find is very unfortunate.
Anyway to stop this being a longer post then it has to be, rest in peace KW:C forums, it was great fun in your early days, and shall toast a drink to you!
Were you a part of the original KW:C forums? Let’s reminisce in those comments!

It’s been a hot minute since we did a Poll asking you conqueror’s out there your opinion, so here we go (This is totally not a filler between news and articles we have planned…). What is your favourite upcoming KOEI Tecmo game? Which one are you looking forward to most or just can’t wait to play? Vote in the Poll now!
We are officially launching our first joint Theme Contest with our KW Forum! The Dynasty Warriors 9 Theme Contest where you guys can use your awesome GFX talents and send in your submissions to us! You can find all the information on our forum post here!
It’ll be for a forum theme, so that would entail both banner and background. As for the site, it’ll be to get your very own Dynasty Warriors 9 designed banner that you see rotating at the top of our site! So be sure to check on in and follow the instructions provided in the above link! The deadline is April 1st, so that gives you all almost a month to send in your creations!
We look forward to seeing everyone’s submissions! Good luck everyone!
It is pretty widely known that KOEI Tecmo Japan have supported the Nintendo Switch with a ton of game releases within the first year of it’s launch (and still many more to come), but not many of them have made their way outside of that little island of their home territory. So we want to ask for your opinion, which of the currently exclusive to Japan KT Switch titles would you like to see get localised in the West?
Our Chibitan was at the Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Fight Night in Cologne last saturday, for Koei Warriors: Conquerors.
Here’s what happened there:
Upon my arrival at the Meltdown E-Sports bar in cologne, there already was a crowd, waiting eagerly to enter in order to play the new Dissidia NT. The bar opened its door at 3pm GMT +1 and everyone kind of pushed in. We had to show our ticket, which were basically reservations for 2 hours completely for free, and we got a nice wrist band similar to the gamescom ones except they’re not showing your age and 2 vouchers for a drink of choice. It literally could have been anything. From a little coke to a big cocktail. We got a form for a giveaway of the Collectors Edition of Dissidia NT, which we had to fill out if we wanted to participate. If you do not win the Collectors Edition you also have a chance of winning Razor merchandise, like a headset.
In the front, you got a lot of stations for playing Dissidia NT against the CPU. You either could play all alone or with up to 3 people against the CPU. If you wanted to play competitive, you went into the back. 2 rows for 6 players were in the back, which played against each other in 3 matches. And at the wall there were 2 more stations for singleplayer. It’s needless to say that most people were gathering here.
In between those rows, was the evil unlucky wheel. 2 matches were played in default, the third was played with the unlucky wheel, which one player of either group span. The wheel showed which handicap the group gets.
The handicaps are as followed:
2 Joker – No handicap
Ambush – Play with the controller behind your back
Legroom – Play while standing on one leg
Standpoint – Play without using the jump button
running wonder – Play while running on the spot
free from giddiness – While the game loads you have to spin around
Fistfight – Play while wearing fluffy gloves (they used oven gloves)
blind flight – Fight 30 seconds while being blindfolded
mandatory break – You have to wait 10 sec before participating in the fight
The team that won with a handicap on got some nice goodies, a sweatband or a key chain. Those who participated in the fighting at gamescom know exactly what they look like. Because it’s basically the same.
So after your 2 hours slot ended, you were welcome to stay in the bar and you still were able to play but you had a lot of waiting queues. When we left, we were greeted with a pleasant surprise by the staff at the door. We got T-Shirts with Dissidia on it. The same ones, the staff was wearing.
All in all, it was a great event, everything was for free, except for the travel to cologne which wasn’t included in the reservation, and the location was well chosen by Square Enix. The event lasted until 11pm GMT +1 by the way.
Hopefully they do more events like these.
Anyways, that’s all I got for you guys, see you soon.
Dissidia Final Fantasy NT releases 30th January on the Playstation 4!
