Chronos Materia was first announced back in early 2013 to be an exclusive JRPG for the Playstation Vita. The game boasted to be a mix between their famed Atelier seires and Surge Concerto series. The game is set in a land that no longer exists, and follows the story of a group of girls who are flung into this new unknown world. The game would focus much on a time travel mechanic allowing you to freely turn back time during certain points in the game.
During your adventure you will be able to enlist the assistance of ‘Homunculi’, which you get to create from 8 different classes. These can be brought into battle alongside you or kept back at home to manage assignments you give them.
Also with it’s 2D aesthetic, they brought on Vocaloid Illustrator Nozomi Ousaka to handle the character art and design. Unfortunately the game was quietly cancelled in late 2016 with no reason specified.
