Earlier today, KOEI Tecmo uploaded a new video with the tag “Wield the Power of the Gods Once More…”, an elude to a new title in the Warriors Orochi franchise. Though little is known aside the teaser trailer (you can watch it below), but what is known an official reveal will be happening on August 30th.
Now this news is set as a new title from Omega Force, so it is unlikely to just be DLC or additional content. Most likely is the expected Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate, or it could be even a spin-off of the spin-off.
Check out the teaser for yourself below:

As it is the standard nowadays with most game releases, there are often various editions you can purchase on the digital store fronts, ranging from the base package to deluxe sets or even Ultimate sets (that aren’t at all Ultimate by definition) in some cases. That of course is no different with KOEI Tecmo with their upcoming release of Warriors Orochi 4, you can now pre-purchase either the base edition of the game or the Deluxe Edition of the game on your desired storefront.
You can see a detailed look in the picture above (be sure to click it if you want the full sized version), but it looks like there are quite a lot of pieces of content tied to this edition, along with some characters that we are yet to confirm if are planned DLC or not in the future (the term “Early Unlock” makes us question if the characters are in-game or not).
KOEI Tecmo have also confirmed that majority of the content will arrive a few months after release as purchasable DLC. Which includes the mounts and costumes featured in these sets.
So be sure to pick your poison on which platform and edition you wish to go with. We’ll be slashing our way up all that Greek Mythology for a review on week of release.
Warriors Orochi 4 comes out October 16th in Americas and October 19th in Europe for PS4, XB1, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.

It has become the norm nowadays for video games to have Pre-order bonuses to incentivize you to make early orders, and Omega Force’s upcoming Warriors Orochi 4 title is no exception.
If you pre-order the game from selected retailers, you will get alternate costumes for use with Xu Shu, Mitsunari Ishida, Da Ji, Wang Yuanji, Wang Yi, Lady Hayakawa, Xing Cai, Guo Jia, Takatora Todo and Yoshitsugu Otani. Regardless of the platform you chose to make the order for, these costumes will be included with your pre-order.
Alternatively if you choose to pre-order off of the digital storefronts, for XBOX One and Nintendo Switch you will receive all the costumes along with two mounts; the Unicorn mount and the Pegasus mount. If however you choose to pre-order on the Playstation Network Store, you will receive the Pegasus mount and an exclusive Playstation 4 theme for Warriors Orochi 4.
It doesn’t look like anything too important is locked behind the Pre-order wall (thankfully), but it is nice to see some cosmetic additions from your desired storefront. It is unsure if these will ever appear later on as paid DLC, but it is likely knowing how KOEI Tecmo operates.
Warriors Orochi 4 releases on 16th October in US and 19th October in EU for PS4, XB1, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.

It’s been a hot minute since we made a new article about KOEI Tecmo’s Warriors Orochi 4, arriving this October on Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PC via Steam. Though we finally have some juicy information about the game that isn’t just revealing a new character (which there are five in total for the game).
Over the weekend, KOEI Tecmo showed off Warriors Orochi 4 at ACGHK 2018, with producer Masaki Furusawa sharing more information on what the game will offer, and delve deeper into what Sacred Treasures are. Also at the event they showed off some Athena gameplay, where she wields her Sword and Shield (Aegis) to devastating results. You can find the full video of all this attached at the bottom.
However onto the cool bits of information Furusawa graced us with. Warriors Orochi 4 will bring us a far more supernatural experience into the story along with how the Sacred Treasures and Greek Gods will offer. This entry will also feature 170 playable characters (five of which are completely new, and 29 that have never been in the Orochi sub-series before). Along with these two bits, something a bit more interesting now is Furusawa goes on to explain that there will be more online functionality other than just your usual expected online story co-op – including modes never before seen in a Warriors title. He then goes on to elaborate about a 3v3 online mode that’ll allow up to six players to enjoy the game at once.
To end it off, he reconfirms that online and offline splitscreen co-op will be making it’s return.
Some more information has also been shown about the Sacred Treasures, which enable Divine Arts (Skills) allowing your character to perform an assortment of moves, including drawing in enemies, shooting them from afar or an area of effect attack. Divine Arts can be charged up to increase it’s output. It also was confirmed that Mounts are implemented as a Divine Art, which you can use to summon a Horse to your side. You can also after racking up enough combos perform a Combination Divine Art, which essentially gives you a major buff in damage and speed, however if you aren’t able to keep up the combo the buff will wane.
At the end of it all, Furusawa states that game is nearing it’s release (October 16th/19th for us Westerners), and that the game is in it’s final stages of development. He really hopes you will enjoy the game and that the 5 year wait will of been worth it.
Below you can find the full broadcast of the event – for those interested around 19:40 time stamp is when the Athena gameplay starts.
