Numerous new Online Battle Modes added to Warriors Orochi 4!

As we all know Warriors Orochi 4 (or Musou Orochi 3) has released in Japan now, and with its release ever creeping closer in the West KOEI Tecmo have decided to show off some of the new Online Battle modes that are a first in the Warriors Orochi series.

The specific mode they focused on this time is called Battle Arena Mode, where Producer Furusawa-san and Director Aoki-san played a Co-Op battle, where you had to capture enemy bases and hold them to win the match. Afterwards they showed off the Versus version of this mode where you play 3 vs 3 in hopes of being the base capturing king/queen.

You can see their full playthrough of both these in the video attached below. It’s a good watch and you can find some interesting insight from the key members of the team behind the game!

Expect to see our review sometime during launch week! Warriors Orochi 4 releases 16th October in the Americas and 19th October in Europe for PS4, XB1, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.

Warriors Orochi 4 Digital Deluxe Edition detailed + can be Pre-purchased now!

As it is the standard nowadays with most game releases, there are often various editions you can purchase on the digital store fronts, ranging from the base package to deluxe sets or even Ultimate sets (that aren’t at all Ultimate by definition) in some cases. That of course is no different with KOEI Tecmo with their upcoming release of Warriors Orochi 4, you can now pre-purchase either the base edition of the game or the Deluxe Edition of the game on your desired storefront.

You can see a detailed look in the picture above (be sure to click it if you want the full sized version), but it looks like there are quite a lot of pieces of content tied to this edition, along with some characters that we are yet to confirm if are planned DLC or not in the future (the term “Early Unlock” makes us question if the characters are in-game or not).

KOEI Tecmo have also confirmed that majority of the content will arrive a few months after release as purchasable DLC. Which includes the mounts and costumes featured in these sets.

So be sure to pick your poison on which platform and edition you wish to go with. We’ll be slashing our way up all that Greek Mythology for a review on week of release.

Warriors Orochi 4 comes out October 16th in Americas and October 19th in Europe for PS4, XB1, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.

Solomon’s Key releases for Nintendo Switch Online service next week!

Nintendo has released a trailer to announce the release date for their next batch of three NES games being added to the Nintendo Entertainment System – Nintendo Switch Online service. As we announced before, Solomon’s Key would be arriving this month (with Mighty Bomb Jack in November and Ninja Gaiden in December).

Solomon’s Key (along with NES Open Tournament Golf and Super Dodge Ball) will be hitting the service on 10th October! So be sure to give it a go if you are a part of the online service! It is a toughie but decent gem!

You can find the trailer for all three games attached below that Nintendo Japan released.

KOEI Warriors: Conquerors’ Forums Close Down – R.I.P 2007-2018

Quick note: This doesn’t effect any of our other projects and main KW Forum

We have some unfortunate news, due to the recent subjugation of Invisionfree/Zetaboards by Tapatalk (which you may have noticed our main KW Forum has converted to, for better or worse) this has brought upon some sour news of our original KOEI Warriors: Conquerors forum – Which sadly has past away during this transition. Due to the site http://s7.zetaboards.com/KOEI_Warriors_Online/ being left up purely for archival purposes we were not approved to be migrated.

For those of you who are unaware, KOEI Warriors Conquerors originally was formed as a sister site to KOEI Warriors, in that we would create and host forum based strategy roleplaying games where you would conquer China (Dynasty Warriors Conquer China) or Japan (Sengoku Warriors Conquer Japan), along with some of our own IP such as Battle Realm (a roleplaying focused experience) and others. It was also a great place to just chill out and have a break by the increasingly populated core forum.

Though the original forum closed down in the early parts of this decade, it was reformed into http://s15.zetaboards.com/kwconquerors/ along with the rebirth of KW:C as a whole to go with this site. However this too has met the same fate due to inactivity and lack of upkeep on our part. Honestly we just didn’t have the manpower or time to micromanage a forum with these type of time consuming games anymore which we find is very unfortunate.

Anyway to stop this being a longer post then it has to be, rest in peace KW:C forums, it was great fun in your early days, and shall toast a drink to you!

Atelier Rorona, Totori and Meruru are coming this December in the Deluxe Arland Trilogy!

A while back we announced that Japan was receiving a special Deluxe edition of the Arland Trilogy: Atelier Rorona Plus, Atelier Totori Plus and Atelier Meruru Plus, remastered with all DLC included. Now in the wake of the delay for Nelke & the Legendary Alchemists, KOEI Tecmo have announced that this very Deluxe Arland Trilogy will be releasing to the West on December 4th both in Europe and the Americas.

The trilogy will be a digital only release for Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.

It has also been confirmed that you will be able to purchase the games individually or all together in one bundled pack. Pricing and such will be revealed closer to it’s release date.
