One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 announced and will be arriving next year!

Bandai Namco and KOEI Tecmo announced at the Anime Expo 2019 that a new title in the One Piece Pirate Warriors series is coming. One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 was officially announced and will be launching sometime during 2020.

The game was also announced to be arriving on Playstation 4, XBOX One, Nintendo Switch and PC. Not much else is known about the game, but there is an announcement trailer below you can check out:

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT’s next DLC character is Tifa and she is live this week!

We announced last month that Dissidia Final Fantasy NT would be receiving a new DLC character, and now finally we know it is Tifa Lockhart from Final Fantasy VII! What is also great news is that she is arriving a lot sooner than you would of thought!

Tifa Lockhart is out today on PC and will be released tomorrow July 3rd for PS4 owners. She will come in both her Final Fantasy VII look and her Advent Children look as an alternate costume.

She is a speed type, and you can see her in action in the trailer below:

Tifa Lockhart will go for £4.99/$6.99. Dissidia: Final Fantasy NT is out now on Playstation 4 and PC via Steam, you can also enjoy the Free-to-Play edition on both as well.

Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & The Secret Hideout is westbound later this year!

It wasn’t long ago that Atelier Ryza was announced, and now we have a Western release set in stone for you all to get excited about. This will mark the third Atelier title to release in this year alone, and sounds to be a completely new series of titles.

Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & The Secret Hideout is coming out 29th October for North America and 1st November for Europe. It will be launching on PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.

Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout begins an all-new storyline arc in GUST Studios’ fan-favourite Atelier series. The beautiful role-playing game follows the exploits of teenage tomboy Ryza, who dreams of escaping her mundane village lifestyle alongside her band of mischievous friends. One day, as they explore a forbidden island in search of adventure, they meet an elderly magician who will change their lives forever. After some convincing, the old man begins teaching Ryza the enchanting ways of alchemy, launching her on an adventure that will ultimately lead her on a quest to save her hometown from the mysterious and deadly darkness lurking beneath the surface.

In order to showcase the vibrant environments surrounding Ryza, GUST Studios instituted more realistic shadows, giving birth to a world that feels more expansive and filled with life. In addition, the fantastical depictions of the game’s colourful characters continue, pushing the series forward with a mix of both new and familiar visual sparkle.

Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout also introduces RPG fans to an all-new evolved synthesis program that enables alchemists to better understand the effects of synthesis visually. Additionally, the system allows everyone to not only enjoy the experience of developing recipes, but the ability to use the innovative creation system to gather items in the field using various tools — different tools uncover different items at the same location — before crafting unique items never before seen in the series.

Dynasty Warriors: Destiny of an Emperor movie has finally finished production!

It has been a while since we have been able to make any sort of update on the anticipated Chinese live action adaptation of Dynasty Warriors. But now we finally have a bit more to share on it. As mentioned back at the tail end of last year, Dynasty Warriors: Destiny of an Emperor is still scheduled for a 2019 release. This hasn’t changed and production has been going along smoothly.

So good in fact that the film is now fully finished. Production ended on the film earlier in the year, so this news means we will be seeing it hit Hong Kong cinemas hopefully in the near future. No news has risen about the title being delayed so you should still expect it’s 2019 planned release.

As well as knowledge of the production being finished and it’s release going forward, some interesting bits of trivia have popped up. It took them three years to convince KOEI Tecmo to give them the green-light to make start production of the movie (which started in 2016). Justin Cheung (plays Zheng Fei) had to gain 15 pounds specifically to play his role, and Louis Koo (plays Lu Bu) had a severe eye injury on set, requiring 8 stitches.

So yes, this may not be the biggest of news, but it is great to know that everything has gone along fine, the actors who got into mishaps are all fine, and the movie should be ready to launch sometime this year in Hong Kong theatres.

E3 2019 – Nintendo Treehouse Live at E3, KOEI Tecmo Edition!

Last week was E3 2019, and Nintendo were not shy showing off a ton of content for two high profile games they are working on with KOEI Tecmo. Two games were shown in particular, both titles releasing this July. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order and Fire Emblem: Three Houses, that got new trailers and Nintendo Treehouse Live got knee deep in both of the games’ mechanics.

It’s safe to say both games are looking like a whole lot of fun, and there is not long to wait for them either!

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order releases July 19th while Fire Emblem: Three Houses launches July 26th, both exclusive to Nintendo Switch.
