In a surprise announcement from Nintedo in today’s Nintendo Mini Direct, we have been given the pleasure of knowing Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition will be making it’s way to the Nintendo Switch this Spring! It will include all of the content from Hyrule Warriors, Hyrule Warriors Legends and all DLC sets from both games in one package!
Along with this being truly the most definitive version of Hyrule Warriors, which now you can play the Legends additions in glorious HD, we will also be seeing a new outfit for Link and Zelda. Their Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild looks!
We have no more information aside that, and a nice looking trailer (embedded below), so if we will be seeing a new Season Pass for this game for even more content, or the actual release date – we will find out in due time. Until then, get done with Fire Emblem Warriors because Link is soon to be back in town!
It’s getting to that time of the year again, now with all of KOEI Tecmo’s games for the year making their way into eager fans hands, it is now time to decide which one is your KOEI Tecmo Game of the Year 2016! Please put in your vote to the poll and we will announce the Fan favourite Game of the Year after New Years!
(Please note these are games that were officially released into the western market, so no DOA Extreme 3 guys!)
With the massive gaming event behemoth known as E3 coming up next week, it’s no wonder we will start to see rumours, early announcements and with this juicy tidbit an early leak. Hyrule Warriors: All Stars will be coming to a Nintendo 3DS near you most likely this year.
The game isn’t just a simple port of the Wii U version either (which would be impossible due to the sheer hardware difference of the two machines). The game, known as “All Stars” is in reference to the game having the entire cast of Hyrule Warriors (including the DLC characters) along with even more new ones added. Confirmed so far are the addition of Tetra and King of Red Lions from Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. It is most likely more will be revealed later in the year (or even at E3!).
The game also features gameplay additions quite like those from the Samurai Warriors Chronicles series, where you can use the touch screen to instantaneously switch between characters on the battlefield, allowing for a much more hectic and hardcore slashing experience.
It also seems quite like most portable editions of KOEI Tecmo games, that it will be ripping cut-scenes directly from the Wii U iteration of the game. Along with other things such as the battlefield shown being Hyrule Field (the first battle in the Wii U game). There has also been confirmation on connectivity between the 3DS version of the game and the Wii U version of the game, so far showcasing that you can connect your 3DS game to the Wii U version to transfer over any / all the new characters featured in the All Stars version. It remains to be seen if these characters will be appearing as DLC or their own Pack’s on the Wii U eShop.
Check out the trailer attached and make up your own minds, but it is looking to be a solid version of an extremely good Warriors game, just on the go! Be sure to keep an eye out for more information during Nintendo’s Digital Event next week at E3!
What do you think of this news? Will you be picking up this edition of the game? Let us know in the comments!
Many of you are already getting hyped for this, but for those who don’t know. This month is the release of Hyrule Warriors third DLC pack; Majora’s Mask Pack. You can purchase the pack via the 4 set Hero of Hyrule bundle for £13.49/€14.99/$19.99 or when it releases for £6.29/€6.99/$7.99 on the day of it’s release.
What to expect with this hefty pack of DLC? Well there are two new characters with their own badges, weapons and movesets to enjoy! Along with this there are three new unique costumes based on Majora’s Mask game as well as an entirely new Adventure Map. It is likely to have it’s own 8bit revamp of a much loved Majora’s Mask song like Twilight Princess received too. You can also expect to see a new “Majora’s Mask” costume for all characters to be unlocked within the Adventure Mode map as well!
It shouldn’t be too much longer to wait or this beefy pack to release, and we here at KOEI Warriors: Conquerors absolutely can’t wait to get our hands on it. And for those of you who have yet to buy Hyrule Warriors or the DLC bundle, now will be the time to invest as the game is as packed and content filled as ever! Both Nintendo and KOEI Tecmo have done an amazing job!
The Master Quest Pack and Twilight Princess Pack are already released and ready to purchase, and February will offer it’s final pack of the 4 set bundle; The Boss Pack. We will discuss this more next month however!
Are you excited for the Majora’s Mask Pack? Will you be getting the DLC and/or picking up the game? Let us know in the comments!
It has been a tremendous 2014 for KOEI Tecmo, with many great releases and upgraded re-releases. Though there can only be on “Game of 2014” from us, and that is the special gem known as Hyrule Warriors. Releasing in September 2014, Hyrule Warriors is the unusual mix of Nintendo’s Legend of Zelda and KOEI Tecmo’s “Warriors” formula.
This is most likely one of the most polished Warriors games ever to be made, and with Nintendo’s charm it does the game a lot of justice. Plenty of very different characters to bash thousands of iconic Legend of Zelda enemies with along with varying weapons to spice things even more up. The game also has hours upon hours of content added with it’s Adventure Mode map and even has big post launch support with Four very big DLC packs (two of which have already been released) adding even more content.
We can only hope to see brighter things come with this game, be it more well priced DLC support or even a possible sequel. It’s just a shame that those not willing to get a Wii U will be missing out on one of the most hectic jam packed Warriors games out there!
This is however our choice. But what do you Conqueror’s out there think? What is the Conquerors Game of 2014 going to be? Be sure to place your vote in our POLL and we’ll announce in the coming week the winner!
Due to unforeseen circumstances, there will be some changes happening to the website. This will take time and we hope you will bear with us. Thank you all for your support!
