E3 2018 – Ni-Oh 2 Officially Revealed!

It’s only been a year and a bit since Ni-Oh first graced us with it’s Ninja Gaiden / Dark Souls esc gameplay and Sengoku Jidai “Warring States” mythical history shenanigans, but at this years E3 the sequel has been announced.

Currently slated for only a PS4 release (Though quite likely to receive similar fate as the first and come to PC later on), Team Ninja and Kou Shibusawa plan to include character creation, more satisfying deaths and a harder challenge for players. The game also will still be set in Japan during the same Time Period, and will follow closely to how the first game was – however you do not need to of experienced the first game to understand what is going on.

Other than that, information is sparse, with no release window or any gameplay to speak of. We do however have the E3 2018 reveal trailer attached below, which will surely get your hype train going!

Team Ninja’s acclaimed fighter Dead or Alive 6 announced for early 2019!

The next instalment to Team Ninja’s fighting series Dead or Alive is finally coming, and has been announced for early 2019! It will be arriving for PS4, XB1 and PC via Steam.

Boasting improved visuals, new highly destructable arenas and more characters this will be a great game indeed. With new features such as a more natural character animations (sorry guys, the Jiggle physics are no more) and more we will surely find out during E3.

Dynasty Warriors 9’s “Additional Weapons Pack” is now out!

With high controversy, the second DLC pack for Dynasty Warriors 9; Additional Weapons Pack is out now on PS Store, Steam Store and XBOX Live Store. With it releasing three weapons that were originally deemed “Too unrealistic” to make the cut in the base game, you will now be able to enjoy the Emei Piercers for Wang Yi, Sword and Hook for Xu Shu and of course, Zhang He’s famed Claws.

Along with those three weapons (and receiving their own movesets and actions), there are a ton of new High Tier weapons for every other type in the game for you to craft.

This just leaves us now to wait on Summer for the Additional Scenario Pack, which will be the last for the Season Pass and will include four “new” characters and their own stories.

You can pick up this pack up for £9.49/€11.99/$11.99 on it’s own or get it for free if you have purchased the Season Pass.

Dynasty Warriors 9 evolves with another patch… again! For PS4 and Steam ver.

Dynasty Warriors 9 has gone through a lot of changes and transitions since it’s release back in February of this year. With both technical/performance fixes and new content to enjoy, it has been a weird ride to say the least. Now as expected – though a bigger gap since the last – another patch has arrived for the game. Though keep in mind this is for the PS4 and Steam version only! The XBOX One version as usual will be caught up at a later date.

Here’s the patch notes in their full glory.

Dynasty Warriors 9 Patch Notes v1.08 / v1.09 for Steam & PS4.

-Added the feature “Frame by Frame Advance” for Photo Mode.
-Improved the rate at which battle messages are displayed.
-Improved the movement of soldiers and officers during battle.
-Corrected an issue in which Chapter 2 Mission “Defeat Dong Bai” could sometimes not be completed.
-Corrected an issue in which, during the Chapter 4 Key Mission “Reclaim Xiapi” when playing as Shu, the game would incorrectly recognise enemies as allies and vice versa.
-Corrected a number of other minor issues.

So there you have it, the next update for Dynasty Warriors 9. Keep in mind it still has one more DLC packs to release, including the Additional Weapons Pack that just came out!

Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition out now for Nintendo Switch! Incl. Wii U’s DLC, 3DS’s DLC and more!

Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition is out now in the West exclusively for the Nintendo Switch! Including all of the content from the base game on Wii U, the Wii U’s DLC packs, the Hyrule Warriors Legends game content, and THAT game’s DLC packs.

Along with all this content, the game sports single joycon multiplayer, local wireless multiplayer, and the Breath of the Wild costume skins for Link and Zelda. This is the best and more complete edition of Hyrule Warriors you’ll get your hands on, and can play it in stunning High Definition on both your TV at 1080p 60FPS or in Handheld mode at 720p 30FPS.

With the immense amount of content this game contains, and with our lack of a review on the original Wii U version of the game, this will be taking us some time to get our review up and out – but rest assured it is in the process of being written!
