Uncharted Waters IV’s DS edition comes to Mobile platforms in Japan!

KOEI Tecmo is going pretty full on in the Mobile market in Japan. Now they have announced the DS version of Uncharted Waters IV Rota Nova will be making it’s way to both iOS and Android devices this December in Japan. Though the series hasn’t received much love in the West since the early SNES days, the series has always been an interesting off shoot RPG set in the ‘Age of Discovery’.

The mobile game boasts to be a full port of Uncharted Waters IV Rota Nova (DS) with a select few features excluded. Along with being a port, it also is to receive graphical and control updates to fit the mobile platforms.

Unlike most of KOEI Tecmo’s other mobile outings, this game will not be free-to-play, and will be a one time upfront purchase. The game will be going for 1,900 yen – which is roughly £12.99/€14.99/$16.99. On release there will be a 500 yen launch discount.

Though it is unlikely this will make it’s transition to the West as we didn’t even receive the base Uncharted Waters IV game, but it is certainly interesting to see the series still live and kicking – even if it takes the mobile market to inject some much needed love.

Dynasty Warriors 9 Trial is free to download for all on PS4 now!

Dynasty Warriors 9 Trial is now available for Free for all users on Playstation 4 now! Releasing on Steam two weeks ago, you can now enjoy three characters out of the total 90 roster fully for free. Also for those who want to play with someone who owns a copy of the game, you can use this version to play alongside them – with the option of picking one out of six warriors which two of them rotate on a daily basis.

So if you are undecided on if the game is for you, or just want to join in on some fun with a friend you know who has the game, now is your chance! Below you can check out the Steam Launch trailer of the Trial version of the game.

Lastly just to add, the XB1 Trial version will be arriving on 21st November.

Mighty Bomb Jack is now available on the NES Nintendo Switch Online service!

Tecmo’s classic Mighty Bomb Jack is out now on the Nintendo Entertainment System – Nintendo Switch Online service. Available for all of those who have an active subscription to the Nintendo Switch Online, you can now enjoy some good old NES action from the brains of early Tecmo.

Along with Mighty Bomb Jack, the original Metroid and TwinBee have also been added to the service if they tickle your fancy as well. Check out one part of the original inspiration for ‘Metroidvania’ genre in action or get in on some old school Shmup destruction.

Last month we got Solomon’s Key from KOEI Tecmo, and next month we are receiving the original Ninja Gaiden title. We can’t wait to get our butt’s handed to us in that one!

Dynasty Warriors 9’s second Season Pass gets fully detailed! + First pack releases!

Dynasty Warriors 9 recently went live with a second Season Pass, offering a bunch more additions including costumes, weapons and more scenarios to enjoy. Though the first pack has released which has dropped a bunch of costumes for a fair amount of characters.

Along with this, we also have a lot more detailed information on what we will be getting with the Season Pass from now until January 2019 (even though they say February for some scenarios). With four characters getting new scenarios (unfortunately no new characters) and a lot of returning weapons from Dynasty Warriors 8. You can see the full detail list below (click to enlarge):


As you can see there is quite a lot of additions coming our way, though it is unfortunate that the new scenarios aren’t bringing in any new characters – it is nice to see Xu Shu whom had an incredibly short story is getting some additional screen time.

You can buy the Season Pass 2 for Dynasty Warriors 9 now on Playstation 4, XBOX One and PC via Steam.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT to add FFX’s Yuna in December!

Over the weekend Square-Enix and Team Ninja held a 3rd year anniversary broadcast, featuring a tournament showing off just how skilled many of the players in Japan are. At the end of the broadcast they announced some new upcoming details about the game.

Yuna (of Final Fantasy X fame) has been selected to be the next participant for DLC characters and will be arriving sometime during December. Alongside her release, the game will be receiving a free update that’ll add a new stage called “Final Battlefield”.

After Yuna that leaves one character left to be announced for the current Season Pass, with the hint that it is a Male character from the newer half of Final Fantasy titles. Whoever he is will be set for a February 2019 release.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT is out now worldwide exclusively for Playstation 4.
