KOEI Tecmo announces A.O.T 2 for early 2018!

After a great adventure in A.O.T Wings of Freedom back in 2016, KOEI Tecmo has announced a sequel coming in early 2018. Simply known as A.O.T 2, we will return to the world of the renowned anime “Attack on Titan” for some giant naked neck chopping action! Platforms have yet to be confirmed, but be ready to expect the usual platforms KT support for them to appear on. We will announce which ones for definite as soon as we know!

KOEI TECMO Europe is proud to reveal today that a sequel to 2016’s titanic action game, A.O.T. Wings of Freedom, is in development by Omega Force. To celebrate the announcement, KOEI TECMO Europe has released a teaser site which reveals the title, and stunning key art, of the latest game based on the worldwide anime series phenomenon, ‘Attack on Titan’.

Building on the fast-paced action the series is famous for, and featuring an abundance of new mechanics, the gripping sequel will be released across Europe as ‘A.O.T. 2’ in Early 2018. Players will once again don the renowned Omni-Directional Manoeuver Gear as they fight and repel the fearsome Titans that threaten humanity, and restore peace within the walls.

While more information about the game’s release, platforms, and narrative will be unveiled in the coming weeks, KOEI TECMO released an immersive teaser trailer featuring famous scenes from the comics and anime, fully rendered with in-game graphics.

Omega Forces’ 20th Anniversary – Bunch of Switch Ports! …in Japan only

With Omega Forces’ 20th Anniversary (Yes the have been around for 20 years this year!), they are splurging out some birthday presents for us all! Well all we mean the Japanese market only. Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires, Samurai Warriors: Spirit of Sanada and Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate are getting Nintendo Switch ports!

We can assume these will be a mix between the Japanese PS3 and PS4 versions in quality. But nonetheless for Switch owners it is great to see such support from KOEI Tecmo! The games will be releasing 9th November 2017. Remember that the Nintendo Switch is region free so you can import these titles if you so wish!

However, there is always the chance these games can also come West. So with that thought we ask for your feedback. Would you like to see any of these three ports make it to the Western market? Be it digital only or both with physical? Let us know in the comments!

Fire Emblem Warriors – A bundle of Gamescom Information! +Trailer

We have a bunch of fresh information in regards to the upcoming Nintendo and KOEI Tecmo collaboration; Fire Emblem Warriors for Nintendo Switch and New Nintendo 3DS. We also want to quickly make clear to keep an eye out for our hands on of the game in the near future!

First off, the best piece of news which you may have already seen via our Facebook page, is the release date. The game will be releasing for both Nintendo Switch and New Nintendo 3DS physically and digitally in the West on October 20th 2017!


Next up, for you lucky guys in Europe, you will be able to pre-order a Limited Edition of the game for Nintendo Switch, including a multitude of goodies shown in the picture above! We still do not know if America will receive a similar Limited Edition but we will be sure to post about it when we know!

Also to add on to all the release news, we now know of even more characters coming to the game. Leo, Takumi, Hinoka and Camilla from Fire Emblem Fates join the war!

One last thing to add is another piece of information for you performance guys out there. You can choose between 1080p/30fps and 720p/60fps for either undocked and docked playing for the Nintendo Switch version. This is a similar feature that first became available in KOEI Tecmo’s Ni-Oh title, and it is great to see this happening to more of their games.

A new site expansion! “Game Series (Published)” in the works!

Hey everyone! You may have noticed already, or recall us mentioning this a while back on our Facebook page, we are finally adding a new area to this site. Called “Game Series (Published)”, you can find it linked on our top bar menu. This area of the site, quite like the KOEI, Tecmo and Gust sections, will focus on games that are not developed by KOEI Tecmo, but was published by them in some form around the world.

We have a small amount of titles pages up and running as of this post, and will continue to expand with new titles and flesh out the pages as time goes on. We are excited to finally bring this area back to life on this site as we had covered these areas on our prior KoeiWarriors.co.uk website. If you have any suggestions or feedback, please let us know! And without further adu, be sure to enjoy the new content!

Fire Emblem Warriors – Small update + Cordelia gameplay footage!

We have a small update to share about Fire Emblem Warriors – KOEI Tecmo and Nintendo’s upcoming mish mash of Fire Emblem and Dynasty Warriors series. The game is coming exclusively for New Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Switch this Fall.

However, it has been revealed that the game will be releasing in Japan on 28th September 2017. If we go by similar localisation times as their 2014 mish mash with Legend of Zelda; Hyrule Warriors, we should be looking at a release date around early November in the West!

Now to get you guys even more hyped for this title, we will be sharing some gameplay footage of recently announced character “Cordelia” in the below video!
