Hamster to release Arcade Archives Ninja Gaiden tomorrow on Nintendo Switch!

Hamster and KOEI Tecmo have teamed up on occasions before to bring out their old Arcade catalogue to consoles, including such hits as Mighty Bomb Jack and Rygar. Now they are bringing the arcade version of Ninja Gaiden to Nintendo Switch in it’s Arcade Archives form, releasing tomorrow on May 9th.

Don’t get this confused with Ninja Gaiden on the NES however, which is also available via the Nintendo Switch Online – Nintendo Entertainment System app, as this is it’s own kind of beast. Much more so a side-scrolling beat-em-up than it’s NES counterpart, you’ll be able to play solo or with a buddy as Ninja of the Hayabusa clan.

NINJA GAIDEN is an action game released by Tecmo Co., Ltd. in 1989. Play as a ninja using the Five Ninja Fighting Arts passed on from the chaotic times of feudal Japan, as you take out an assassin organization through the horrifying stage “Jungle,” an American city. Perform a Phoenix Backflip off of obstacles or walls to land behind enemies and then defeat them with a Triple Blow Combination or Flying Neck Throw.

It is great to see more of KOEI Tecmo’s early Arcade games make it’s way to a console, and the at home or on the go nature is perfect for it with the Switch!

The game will release for $7.99/€6.99/£6.29, and will offer the usual benefits of the Arcade Archives releases, such as save states, difficulty changers and more.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 to feature as GameInformer Magazine’s cover story – new details revealed!

We are getting ever closer to Disney/Marvel, Nintendo and KOEI Tecmo/Team Ninja’s joint collaborative effort, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order release date, and now GameInformer is heavily featuring the title as June 2019’s cover story for their magazine.

Along with this news, more information about the game has been revealed by them, such as an exclusive first reveal of Hawkeye and Ms. Marvel. More exclusive content is also planned to be revealed during June from them.

A.O.T 2 finally get’s a demo ahead of it’s ‘Final Battle’ release

In what could be a strange turn of events, A.O.T 2 – which released back in March 2018 – now has a demo available to download. With the release of A.O.T 2 Final Battle only a couple months away now, if you have yet to play the title you can now get in some good action time with the omni-directional mobility gear.

The demo itself is now available on Playstation 4, XBOX One and Nintendo Switch. There is currently no Steam demo, but it is likely to arrive in the near future.

A.O.T 2 is a good fun recreation of the anime, and ‘Final Battle’ will be bringing more content from the third season. A.O.T 2 Final Battle will be launching worldwide on July 5th.

Ninja Gaiden 3 Razors Edge makes it’s way to XBOX One’s Backwards Compatibility program!

If you hadn’t noticed before, KOEI Tecmo and Microsoft have teamed up to release Ninja Gaiden 2 on their XBOX One backwards compatibility program. Now just a little while later Ninja Gaiden 3 Razors Edge has also hit the list of Backwards Compatibility program for all XBOX One users.

Ninja Gaiden 3 Razors Edge is the far improved version of Ninja Gaiden 3, removing the gimmick of where if you got too slash happy you’d be severely penalised. Now you can get into the great iconic Ninja Gaiden combat without hassle. As well as that new content was added for Ayane and Kasumi was added as a character to play in additional playthroughs or the challenges.

You can pick up the game digitally from the Microsoft store for £24.99/$29.99 much like Ninja Gaiden II, or you can play the game via a physical copy you can likely pick up at your local retailer fairly cheap.

KOEI Tecmo and Atlus team up for Action RPG Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers!

In a very surprise turn of events, during last week’s Persona event, it was announced that codename “P5S” was not the rumoured port of Persona 5 to Nintendo Switch but none other than a new title by KOEI Tecmo. Called Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers you’ll face off against many different Persona’s as he famed cast from the hit Persona 5 title.

Not much is known aside it’s platforms – which are Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch – and the teaser trailer that you can watch below:

What we do know of the title is that the team behind Dragon Quest Heroes will be leading development of the game, that it is classed as an Action RPG instead of Tactical Hack n Slash that Warriors games are normally categorised as. It will also likely be some time until we see this release in the West, as no release date has been shared, but we will be sure to update as soon as more information surfaces!
