It has been a while since we have had any news related to KOEI Tecmo’s Attack on Titan series, and while we are not getting whiffs of a third entry to the series, there has been some interesting news surfacing out of Taiwan.
While KOEI Tecmo have not announced anything formally themselves, the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee has rated a title called Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle, listed for Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC (XBOX One didn’t get a release in Taiwan, it’ll likely receive equal treatment in the West). Along with this news a ‘Final Battle Upgrade Pack’ (also listed for same platforms) has been rated, meaning it is likely that whatever the ‘Final Battle’ edition of the game has on offer, if you own the original game you can purchase the content presumably at a cheaper price.
We will have to wait and see a little longer when KOEI Tecmo announces the title themselves with what it will actually offer, and if it is worth us revisiting the game.
What are your thoughts on Attack on Titan 2 getting an upgraded re-release? Did you enjoy the game the first time round? Let us know in those comments!
