After the successful launch of the first Monster Rancher / Monster Farm enhanced port at the tail end of last year in Japan, KOEI Tecmo has now been posting on Twitter in regards to a Monster Rancher 2 enhanced port.
While currently they are seeking feedback on what features or enhancements you would like to see made to a follow up release, it looks like they are already delving into development.
The first Monster Rancher enhanced port released only in Japan on iOS, Android and Nintendo Switch. It is likely the second game will receive the same treatment. Unfortunately still no news on any Western release plans for the series.

One free manual save slot has been added. In addition to the two free save slots, you can purchase up to 12 additional save slots for 120 yen each, or the full 12-pack for 980 yen.
Battle Mode: 1P Entry Method Changed
While you were previously only able to select your own monster, now you can select from monsters uploaded by other players, making battles and tournaments between players easier.
Player Participatory Tournament Mode Added
Player participatory tournaments will be held in the future. Players will be able to participate by simply registering a monster that meet the tournament’s conditions, and battles will play out automatically without instruction from breeders.
Music Data Added
Added music data for CD titles released between September 29, 2019 and February 1, 2020, and for Switch physical edition titles released between September 2019 and January 2020. (The latter data is exclusively for the Switch version.)
New Monsters Added
New monsters derived from existing monster species have been added.
Added Ability Total display.
Other subtle changes and bug fixes.
There is still no news on a Western localisation of the title, however you can pick up the game through the Nintendo Switch eShop due to it’s region free architecture.

We have known for a while now that there is a Monster Rancher (or Monster Farm in Japan) reboot happening and will be launching on iOS, Android and Nintendo Switch. An updated release of the original title from the Playstation One days, it is to get new life on your mobile devices and Switch console!
Now KOEI Tecmo Japan have announced that Monster Rancher will be launching on 28th November for iOS and Android, while the Nintendo Switch version will be launching 19th December. This of course is only in Japan, though the Switch release as always will be region free.
No news if a Western release will be coming, but we do hope so, especially for Europe who missed out on the entire Monster Rancher series back in the day.
