Dynasty Warriors 9 – Release window + New Trailer!

As we currently know, Dynasty Warriors 9 is far along in it’s development cycle, with all the new footage, screenshots and character reveals happening over the past couple months. The game has also been announced for Playstation 4, XBOX One and PC/Steam for the western market. But finally we have some actual solid information on when the game will be entering our households.

Along with a new trailer (featured below), the game will be releasing Early 2018, which should mean January-March time. The same release window as fellow Omega Force title A.O.T 2.

Even with the controversy over the weapon choices for characters, the game itself is still looking like it will be a solid new take on The Three Kingdoms period, and should be a great amount of fun! We will report as soon as we have details on an actual definitive date for release, but until then enjoy the latest trailer showing off some impressive action from the game!

Ni-Oh: Bloodshed’s End – The final chapter in William’s saga!

In quite an unexpected turn, Team Ninja has announced it’s final DLC chapter for Ni-Oh, and it’s arriving far sooner than you think! Called Bloodshed’s End, this third and final chapter will focus on the last stand the Toyotomi make just before the bloody war of the Sengoku-era comes to an end. Continuing straight after the last DLC’s chapter, where the Osaka Winter Campaign came to an early close with a peace treaty call. After a handful of months and the fall of most of Osaka Castle, the remaining Toyotomi forces stir to make one last hurrah attempt to fell the ever-threatening forces of the Tokugawa. But to stand any chance, they take up the means offered by Maria, and use the amrita stones to take action.

Along with the usual additions that come with each chapter of the DLC – Main missions, sub missions, twilight missions, new characters, new enemies, new guardian spirits and another new game plus difficulty – we will also be getting a new game mode added. The new mode is called “The Abyss”, and claims it’ll be the perfect way for skilled players to really test their might. However more details will arrive before the DLC’s launch.

Now onto the most important part. The third and final DLC will be launching on 26th September 2017 worldwide. Exclusive to PS4. You will be able to purchase this DLC for £7.99/€9.99/$9.99 or get it free via the Season Pass.

Dynasty Warriors 9 – Currently revealed Wei characters!

Hey everyone, this is a new feature series we will be doing on Dynasty Warriors 9, where we will show off and talk a bit about the characters revealed and their new looks and weapons for each kingdom. Our first one will focus on Wei characters, while future posts will cover the other kingdoms, and so fourth when more get shown off. We hope you enjoy!

As we know, Dynasty Warriors 9 will be featuring all previous characters up until Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires, along with new characters. So far we have a bevy of characters shown off from the kingdom of Wei, with some weird weapon choices for some characters, but their designs are certainly on point! Check them out below!

So we currently have two new characters announced for the Wei kingdom; Man Chong and Xun You. But we still have quite a lot to make their appearance! Dynasty Warriors 9 will be releasing on PS4, XBOX One and Steam, with still a release date to be announced.

Dynasty Warriors 9 – Xu Sheng answers the Wu call!

With a recent batch of new information and news for Dynasty Warriors 9 (more posts to come!), Xu Sheng has been announced as the second new character for Wu’s forces. But what do we know of this new guy? Is he deserving to be a part of the ever growing roster of officers? You be the judge.

Xu Sheng, a courageous leader of Wu was one of the most talented officers in Sun Quan’s regiment. He started out small as a retainer for a local clan in the Wu Country, and was later brought in by Sun Quan. His first task was to lead a force of 500 men to defend the region of Chaisang from Huang She’s (Huang Zu’s son from Jing) few thousand army. Unfortunately he was only able to fight with 200 at the time of the fight but Xu Sheng with even such a small force was able to decimate the oncoming enemies.

He was known to be a part of many Wu battles, where he often single handedly forced enemies to fall back. He like many Wu officers fell prey to Zhang Liao’s surprise attack at He Fei, being one of his few failures under the Wu banner. He butted heads with Lu Xun at the battle of Yiling over how they should deal with Shu’s large revenge force for the death of Guan Yu and Zhang Fei. He also fooled a massive invasion from Cao Pi by constructnig a large makeshift wall across the Guanling river, leading Cao Pi to believe his forces were not large enough to overcome it, calling off the invasion. Xu Sheng died before he could see Sun Quan attain the title of Emperor of Wu, but his son Xu Kai succeeded him.

In Dynasty Warriors 9, Xu Sheng will be wielding a Meteor Hammer, and fighting in many battles alongside Sun Quan. He will be around from an early era, and just show those pesky enemies just how strong a Wu leader really is!

Warriors All-Stars releases this week!

Warriors All-Stars, KOEI Tecmo and Omega Forces next inside collaborative effort within many of their own series is hitting store shelves this week for PS4 and digitally for Steam! While we are digging into the game to bring you a review (hopefully sometime next week) we have some information, news and a awesome launch trailer to help you decide if this is a title for you or not!

The game has already released in the US and will be releasing tomorrow (Friday 1st September) in Europe!

Outside of battle, improve Bonds with others at the Sanctuary to unlock abilities which help you on the battlefield. Heroes can be found at the Sanctuary’s many locations including the Tavern, Inn, Refinery, Practice Arena and Headquarters.
