Dynasty Warriors 7 Xtreme Legends Definitive Edition sneaks it’s way onto Steam, available now!

Last week without prior word Dynasty Warriors 7 Xtreme Legends Definitive Edition appeared on the Steam store for you to purchase. This is a nice surprise and a great addition especially for those who may of missed this Dynasty Warriors from the PS3/360 era.

The contents of the game are both the main Dynasty Warriors 7 game along with the Dynasty Warriors 7 Xtreme Legends edition of the game (exclusive to PS3 back in the day). So now is your chance to experience the full main Dynasty Warriors 7 package in one budget price.

The game also includes all the DLC released for both titles, which include the following:

Nintendo Switch Online Service to add Ninja Gaiden and 2 other NES games this December!

It’s that time of month again where Nintendo releases 3 more NES games to their Nintendo Switch Online Service. This being the last of the currently announced titles to come (though they said much more to come in 2019), we will be enjoy our third game from KOEI Tecmo on the service.

Ninja Gaiden (NES) will be releasing on December 12th along with two other titles (Adventures of LoLo and Wario’s Woods), making the three promised titles from KOEI Tecmo available for everyone with it.

KOEI Tecmo launched Mighty Bomb Jack in last month’s additions to the service, and Solomon’s Key back in October. Who knows if we will be treated to more KT retro goodness in further releases, but considering their strong relationship with Nintendo we are very much hoping.

Right now you can enjoy Tecmo’s Bowl, Solomon’s Key and Mighty Bomb Jack (just to name KT’s games) on the service, and soon to have a very hardcore Christmas with Ryu in his original glory.

KOEI Tecmo shows up at The Game Awards with Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 exclusive to Nintendo Switch!

As most of you may be aware, The Game Awards are currently live (as of time of writing) and during the awards a rather interesting IP popped up as a ‘World Premiere’. The title in particular is Marvel’s Ultimate Alliance 3, being developed by Team Ninja and KOEI Tecmo, to release in 2019 exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.

It has been known for a long while now that KOEI Tecmo has been working with a very popular western license, and this looks to be it. Showing itself off as a mix of brawling and RPG, just like it’s predecessor titles. Though this time Activision is no where in sight (for the best we’re sure).

MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 3: The Black Order brings together Super Heroes and Super Villains from across the Marvel Universe to battle for the limitless power of the Infinity Gauntlet, one Stone at a time. This unprecedented team of characters must use their unique superpowers to defeat the mad cosmic tyrant Thanos and his ruthless warmasters, The Black Order. The game will feature an original story and a playable cast of dozens of Marvel Super Heroes, including the Avengers, the X-Men, and—for the first time in series history—the Guardians of the Galaxy.

The new game features the same kind of action-RPG gameplay that made the franchise such a hit over a decade ago. In MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 3: The Black Order, up to four players can drop in for co-op battles in a variety of ways: They can play online*, link up offline via local wireless or pass a Joy-Con controller to a friend to join the team. With another pair of Joy-Con (sold separately), four players can team up on one system. In addition to the series’ traditional perspective, the new entry will let players select a dynamic, zoomed-in heroic view, allowing for a more immersive play style for single-player or multiplayer when using multiple systems.

Have a look at Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Scarlet’s “Soft 4D” engine in action!

When KOEI Tecmo first announced another new release of Dead or Alive Xtreme 3, they noted how the Switch version of the game will be taking advantage of a new “Soft 4D” technology, exclusive due to the use of both motion and HD rumble.

KOEI Tecmo Japan have now released a new trailer highlighting this feature greatly showing off what you can get your hands on with the title. With both the Switch’s “Soft 4D” mechanics and the PS4’s VR Paradise, you’ll see a lot of both old and new things in this beach volleyball romp.

Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Scarlet will be arriving on March 14th 2019 for both PS4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan. Again no news on any localisation, but the title should offer (at least in it’s Asian release) english support for those whom wish to import. Keep in mind though that the PS4 version is censored while the Switch version is untouched as of writing.

KOEI Tecmo Japan’s 6th December tease is for Winning Post 9, regain your breath everyone.

Earlier in the week KOEI Tecmo Japan stuck up an ominous teaser page along with the quote “The Fated Battle Begins”. This got a lot of chins wagging on what it could be, especially with “Fated Battle” often being associated with the Samurai Warriors franchise – which we know is currently in development on it’s 5th instalment. However it has now been revealed (thanks to Famitsu) that the teaser was for KOEI Tecmo’s horse racing simulation series Winning Post.

As you can see in the picture above, the teaser image has also been updated with two horses giving each other the death stare. Winning Post 9 will be coming to PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC next year in Japan.

The likelyhood of this title making it’s way westward is rather slim, as we haven’t had anything from the series since Champion Jockey for PS3/360/Wii back in 2011. However as usual the game will be freely able to be imported thanks to the region free consoles they’ll be arriving on.

So yeah conqueror’s out there, back to our daily routines. This here isn’t for us westerners.
