As with each new release of an Empires game, the big question always is how will the Edit mode change things up? The Edit Mode hasn’t really had any big changes since Dynasty Warriors 6 Empires, however that is now to change with 9’s Empire iteration.
Dynasty Warrior 9 Empires edit mode is a much improved version of the customisation mode from Ni-Oh 2, including much more finer tuning for your characters looks and outfit designs. Along with it being an improved version, it will also offer both underlayer clothes and layered armour. This seems to be a spin on Dynasty Warriors 9’s “Informal clothes” function, but how it will take form in 9 Empires is still yet to be seen.
You will have full control of colours, body sizes and accessories for your numerous customized officers. You will also be able to use them in similar ways to Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires such as being a regular free roam warrior, an officer, marshal and ruler. According to KOEI Tecmo Japan there will be more positions for your characters than what we have had in prior instalments.
We will have more information on the Edit Mode and Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires soon.
Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires launches worldwide Q1 2021 for PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam.
