As most of you would already no doubt know, Nintendo held a massive event revealing many new details and an abundant amount of games for their upcoming Nintendo Switch console. Along with this were an assortment of titles coming from KOEI Tecmo. And today we can share information about them all.
First up is Fire Emblem Warriors, developed in the same way as Hyrule Warriors, this time the slashings will be within the vast universe of Fire Emblem. Not much is known about the game so far, and only a small Teaser was shown (see below), but what information we do have is that there will be a Nintendo Direct dedicated to Fire Emblem on 18th January, which includes this title (among others, possibly the mobile title). We will have much more to show and share then, and finally have some juicy details to get our hands on.
Expected arrival Holiday 2017.
Next up is a bundle from Square-Enix and KOEI Tecmo, the Dragon Quest Heroes series! Though not just the first, the second will also be included along with a completely revamped and improved battle system and features exclusive to the Nintendo Switch version. It is still up in arms if this title will make it’s way to the West, considering we have only seen the first title on PS4, and how notorious Square-Enix is with withholding Dragon Quest titles. But it will be an amazingly fun game none the less, and with the Nintendo Switch abolishing region locking, you can just import it in the end anyway! The title will launch alongside the Nintendo Switch March 3rd in Japan.
Lastly, KOEI Tecmo showed off both Nobunaga’s Ambition: Sphere of Influence – Ascension and Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII are ports coming to the Nintendo Switch. No doubt there will be touch interactivity added considering how the Nintendo Switch is used and designed, which should hopefully make for an interesting way to play these Strategy behemoths. We will share more information soon on release dates and such as they come.
