Via Famitsu, it has been revealed that a new Bladestorm game is in the making. Though instead of being a sequel, it will be a “reboot” of the series. Known as Bladestorm: The Hundred Years’ War & Nightmare, the strategical English vs France raging war will be making it’s return sometime in the future.
Producer Akihiro Suzuki noted that after a lot of fan demand, they decided to revisit the series, though by making a reboot instead of a plain old sequel. They boast the game will have improved graphics, tons of new content added and new features to enjoy. They are also looking towards fan feedback for further additions to be made to the game while it’s in development.
Though it sounds more like a remaster of the old title than a fully blown remake. With an improved game engine and other such things. So as of right now, picture how Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate is to Warriors Orochi 3. Though it is still too early to judge. Platforms and the like are not yet announced, though with KOEI-Tecmo Japan’s “next gen” initiative, you can assume PS4 will be at least one of them.
We should have more information in further issues of Famitsu – which we very much will be reporting on.
What do you think of this reveal? Would you like to see this title make it to the West? Do you think this is worthwhile series to spend resources on? Let us know!
